Jakob is primarily engaged in mergers & acquisitions and other corporate matters and has extensive experience in advising businesses and financial investors (private equity and venture capital) on transactions in Denmark and abroad.

Jakob advises buyers and sellers of businesses during the entire process from the initial structuring of the process and the transaction (via due diligence) to the drafting and negotiation of the transaction documents. During recent years, Jakob has been involved in a large number of Outbound Legal cases, in which he has been assisting Danish clients in transactions outside Denmark, and where his understanding of the client's business and perspective combined with his international skills, expertise and large international network have contributed to creating value-added solutions for the clients.

Jakob has particular experience in advising on joint ventures, partnerships and other strategic alliances in Denmark and abroad, including the structuring of such international partnerships and the other relevant legal aspects to be considered.

Also, Jakob is head of Kromann Reumert’s specialist group on international trade, which advises on topics relating to business formation, distribution and trade abroad. The group specialises in both contractual and regulatory issues (e.g. export controls and trade restrictions (embargoes, etc.) and money transfers).

Jakob is head of Kromann Reumert's London office and therefore divides his working hours between London and Copenhagen, which has given him a wealth of international experience and network connections. Also, he is a qualified UK solicitor.
