Kim Trenskow specialises in public law, environmental law, planning law, litigation and tort law.

Kim advises a large number of business clients and public sector clients in cases involving environmental and planning law issues, including the interaction between the comprehensive and complex EU rules on one side and the administrative, environmental, planning and public law rules as implemented at national level on the other side.

Further, Kim is an experienced litigator in large and complex cases. He has conducted more than 300 cases before the Danish courts, including also the Danish Supreme Court, and the arbitration tribunals. Kim has i.a. represented Finansiel Stabilitet in the three actions on management liability in failing banks that have so far been considered by the courts: the cases involving Capinordic Bank (Supreme Court judgment of January 2019, together with attorney Claus Jul Hansen), Eik Bank Danmark (currently under appeal to the Supreme Court, together with attorney Claus Jul Hansen) and most recently Amagerbanken (Eastern High Court judgment of 26 June 2019, together with attorney Kolja Staunstrup).
