Carlsberg starts the year with the acquisition of a significant stake in the Mikkeller Group.

We have advised Carlsberg in connection with its new partnership with Mikkeller, a world-renowned Copenhagen-based craft brewery. In connection with the partnership, Carlsberg has acquired 20 percent of the shares in Mikkeller.

The new partnership between Mikkeller and Carlsberg is poised to strengthen the distribution of Mikkeller’s beer in Denmark, while Mikkeller will remain dedicated to developing new and innovative concepts, beers and events. Carlsberg already has an exciting portfolio of specialty beers, and with the partnership, Carlsberg will be able to offer customers and consumers even more unique varieties in this category.
