Andreas Riis Madsen

Andreas has advised businesses on merger clearance issues and on the submission and subsequent implementation of and compliance with remedies. He has also advised businesses on the competition law framework relevant to different types of agreement and on the possibilities of collaboration between enterprises.

He has guided public contracting entities as well as private suppliers on the layout and execution of public procurements and has conducted cases before the Danish Complaints Board for Public Procurement. Extremely knowledgeable in procurement procedures under both the Danish Public Procurement Act, the Utilities Directive, and the Defence and Security Directive, Andreas has also advised on complex cross-border joint procurement cases involving contracting entities from a plurality of countries.

Andreas also holds considerable experience in litigation, especially in the field of competition law, including cases concerning regulatory decisions and actions for damages.

Andreas also has extensive experience working on Greenlandic issues, both in an advisory capacity and conducting litigation in Greenland.

Moreover, Andreas serves as knowledge ambassador of Kromann Reumert’s Foreign Direct Investment specialist group, advising Danish and foreign businesses on national investment screening regimes—in Denmark and internationally. As such, he is responsible for promoting the sharing of knowledge of the field, both internally within our organisation and with the outside world.
