Birgitte advises clients on all aspects of data protection, from individual processing assignments to large compliance projects. Her advice and assistance include identifying the need for use of personal data, analysing how the data may be used and, together with the client, planning the practical implementation of the required measures.

She has significant experience and in-depth knowledge of providing advice to both private and public enterprises, particularly within the financial sector (banks, insurance companies, trust companies, etc.), the media industry (production companies and broadcasters, etc.), pharmaceutical companies and public utilities, all of which are positioned at the intersection between data protection law and extensive sectoral legislation.

With her extensive knowledge, Birgitte assists with clarification of the roles of data controllers and processors, risk assessments, impact assessments, personal data breaches, negotiation of data processing agreements, transfers to third countries, complaints to the Danish Data Protection Agency, organisation and implementation of internal or legal investigations, etc.

Birgitte has a strong technical understanding, which is brought into play in practical solutions relating to compliance documentation, deletion lists, risk assessments and impact analyses.
