Actions for damages and competition litigation

We represent clients in competition law actions for damages brought in Denmark or abroad as well as in arbitration proceedings. We assist in putting up a defence, including in class actions and in cases involving parent company liability, whereas in other matters, we appear for the plaintiff. We also conduct other competition law and arbitration cases involving e.g. contractual disputes.

With the recent implementation of the ECN+ Directive into Danish law, we are likely to see more competition law decisions being taken to court. We have extensive experience in competition law litigation at all instances in Denmark, before the European Courts and abroad, but also before arbitration tribunals.

Competition law infringements increasingly lead to claims for damages. Such claims are often raised in multiple jurisdictions and can have far-reaching consequences for the parties involved - particularly in class actions, which increase the risk exposure significantly. We assist in adopting a strategy and handling such actions for damages, drawing on our experience from international and Danish cases, some of which have lasted more than ten years.
