Competition economics and economic analysis

As members of our competition group, our competition economists advise on economic issues related to competition law and other legal practice areas.

Economic analyses play an increasing role in competition law, including in relation to market definitions. The work involves quantitative analyses and questionnaires, and compliance and impact assessments. The analyses may focus on pricing, discount systems or merger assessments, relying on e.g. quantitative impact assessments that are based on so-called diversion ratios and UPP and IPR analyses, which are often used by Danish and European competition authorities.

We assist with economic analyses and arguments to support our clients’ views in their dialogue with the competition authorities. We make recommendations for the planning and timing of such analyses, having regard to the overall proceedings.

Our economists also assist in lawsuits and investigations within multiple legal disciplines in connection with i.a. assessment of losses, damages and costs, and valuation services.
