Energy and infrastructure disputes

We have conducted a number of major arbitration proceedings and have served as arbitrators ourselves in matters pertaining to the oil and natural gas area and renewable energy. Also, we have been and are still involved in several major actions over EU State aid rules before Danish and/or EU courts. 

We have represented, among others:

• clients in relation to the REMIT rules on market manipulation
• the biggest Danish energy companies in disputes over electricity interconnection agreements, agreements for the supply of heat and power from power stations, and a number of cases over regulatory matters, including the rules of the Danish Electricity Supply Act in relation to revenue frameworks and transmission tariffs
• a Swedish shipping line in an action before the Court in Luxembourg about cancellation of the Commission’s decision on State aid for a major bridge (2021).

Also, we served as arbitrators in one of the biggest (measured by value) arbitration proceedings ever undertaken on European soil (2017).
