General EU law, free movement, and fundamental rights

Kromann Reumert offers advice on EU law in general, the freedoms of movement, and the fundamental rights. We have experience in handling this type of cases at all levels.

While some cases involve EU law issues only, in practice EU law often plays a minor role, representing a small element of the overall case.  That does not make EU law irrelevant, however. On the contrary, EU law and the freedoms of movement and fundamental rights can often contribute to strengthening the arguments in a given case, and sometimes EU law even proves to have decisive influence on the outcome of the case.

We advise on all aspects of EU law, including the rules in the EU Treaty on the free movement of goods, persons, services and capital and the fundamental rights set out in the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights (the Charter).

We assist in connection with both formal and informal referrals to the European Commission, i.a. to ensure correct application of the Danish rules. We also safeguard our clients’ regulatory interests, for instance in connection with the drafting and implementation of new regulation.
