We therefore see an increase in Danish and foreign insurance companies' demand for legal advice on insurance regulation issues.

Our team has many years of experience in advising on regulatory issues relating to insurance business.

Our advice

We advise on issues such as:

setting up of insurance and reinsurance companies, including obtaining of an insurance business licence from the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority, drafting of new insurance terms and conditions, and drafting of other necessary internal documents
investment and placement rules in the Danish Financial Business Act
fit & proper approval of new management members in insurance companies and their holding companies
the Danish Insurance Distribution Act, including assistance in transfer of insurance distribution companies.

Furthermore, we regularly advise foreign insurance companies wishing to carry on insurance business activities in Denmark, either cross-border or through a Danish branch, or wishing to transfer all or part of a Danish insurance portfolio.
