Often – typically in cooperation with relevant technical advisers – we advise and assist business clients and authorities in cases and questions concerning how to understand the complex legislation applicable to contaminating businesses. 

Our advice

We advise on issues such as: 

• mandatory approvals
• orders and prohibitory injunctions relating to e.g. breach of terms
• interpretation and review of environmental permits, e.g. in relation to noise and odour pollution
• the special IE rules, including part 4b of the Danish Soil Contamination Act
• disputes with public authorities
• appeal proceedings before the Danish Environment and Food Board of Appeal or the Danish Local Planning Appeal Board, and/or legal actions, including in the event of invalid regulatory orders or cases involving questions of principle
• regulation of high-risk business activities.
