Such transfers typically raise questions about the buyer's risk of assuming known or unknown obligations relating to operation of the business or contamination of the land. Also, there will always be questions about how to handle e.g. approvals and permits in a transfer situation.

We are highly experienced in assisting clients in identifying existing or potential environmental risks related to business and real-estate transfers, and we advise on the handling of such risks in connection with the transaction.
