Water, waste water and surface waters

Ever since the water sector reform, we have been advising municipal water and waste water utilities and industrial enterprises on the complicated rules in e.g. the Consolidated Water Supply Act, the Water Sector Act and the Payments Act.

We also advise on and assist in cases concerning protection of water reclamation, including protection zones near borings. Furthermore, we have extensive experience in assessing and clarifying the ownership of pipes and lines in case of doubts about the obligation to pay for removal of such pipes and lines. We frequently conduct cases concerning, for example, the applicability of the "guest pays" principle. 

With our unparalleled insight into the sector, we have been involved in numerous mergers, acquisitions and restructurings of utilities companies and have provided advice on numerous company law issues. 

Finally, we assist in cases concerning contamination of, and discharge of contaminating substances to, the aquatic environment.
